Elmwood Men's Jail Overview
The Elmwood Complex Men's Facility is operated by the County of Santa Clara Office of the Sheriff, Custody Bureau. The county's January 25, 2026 daily population PDF grouped Elmwood as one combined campus count rather than separating men's and women's facilities, so it should not be used as a men's-only number.

Elmwood Men's Visiting Rules
Elmwood Men's visits use the Sheriff's visitation system and Online Visiting Registration. Research notes say visitors must register and be approved, applications may take 2-4 business days in one set of Elmwood notes, and the 2026 OVR change may make approval take longer during demand spikes. Approved visitors may schedule visits up to 21 days out, and online visits must be scheduled at least 24 hours ahead in the captured Elmwood notes.
